By I. B.

The old manuscript Roman Martyrology, or that of St. Jerome, lists these Martyrs thus: "And elsewhere, of Victor, Lucianus, Apollinaris, Hilarius, Ammon, Zoticus, Cyriacus." The old manuscript Martyrology of Reichenau, or Augia Dives, also has: "And elsewhere, of Victor, Lucianus, Hilarius, Cyriacus, Eugenius." Cyriacus and Apollinaris are indeed commemorated in the Roman Martyrology on June 21: but they are different from these. For in the same Martyrology of St. Jerome, others are joined to them as sharers in the same crown: Saturninus, Bellicus, Perseus, Chrysinus, Prima, and Januarius. On which day also in the cited manuscript of Reichenau, Cyriacus, Bellicus, and Chrisimus are commemorated as having suffered in Africa.
