St. Secundus (or Secundinus), a Roman martyr, is known only from brief entries in the Martyrology of St. Jerome and related manuscripts. Whether he was a companion of the Forty Soldiers on the Via Lavicana remains uncertain.

The Martyrology of St. Jerome also gives us this saint: "At Rome, of Secundus." The Bavarian manuscript of Bede reads: "Secundina, Corona, and forty soldiers." Notker has the same. The Irish manuscript reads: "Of Corona, Serdus, and twenty-five others." For "Serdus" perhaps "Secdus" was written, that is, Secundus; and that ancient scribe, whoever he was, read "Serdus." Whether this person was killed with those mentioned previously is hidden from us.
