ON ST. FELICIAN THE MARTYR
IN SICILY.
From the Hieronymians.
CommentaryFelician, Martyr, in Sicily (S.)
J. B. S.
Just as St. Mochus the martyr reported above was to the Milanese, so today's St. Felician was unknown to all Sicilians, subsisting nevertheless by the complete authority of these Martyrologies, in which he is announced with wonderful concord: In Sicily, of Felician, in which manner also the contracted Hieronymians, the Rhinow and Reichenau, express him. In vain will he torment himself who shall wish to investigate more about him elsewhere. Cajetanus in the Sicilian Martyrology received from the Greeks St. Pancratius, of whom we also treat in this table, and whom it sufficed to have reported on the day to which we referred him.
