This is another band of Martyrs, inscribed in four copies of the Hieronymian Martyrology, The number variously written. in these words: In Africa, of Italius, or Italus; Zoticus; Camarus, or Camasus; Philip, Attalus. The manuscript of the Queen of Sweden, published by Holstenius: In Africa, the natal day of SS. Zoticus, Philip, Camasus, with two others, namely Italius, Zoticus. But the natal day of SS. Italus and Zoticus alone in Africa is celebrated in the manuscripts both of Monte Cassino, and in the two Roman ones, namely of the Duke of Altemps and of Cardinal Barberini: but in this one is written Talus for Attalus. And the wrestling-ground of the contest being omitted, the same three are named in the Prague manuscript, as also the memory of Italus or Italius, and of Philip, in the Reichenau, Rheinau, Gellone, Augsburg manuscripts, and a certain S. Gall and Paris one. Finally the name of Italus alone is found in Greven in the Auctarium of Usuard.

[2] Hither seems to be referred the passion of S. Philip at Alexandria, as it is read in the Tournai manuscript, Whether Philip is a Bishop. for which is written the passion of Philip, Bishop of Alexandria, in the Laetiense manuscript. But the title of Bishop seems to have been transferred hither from S. Claudius the Bishop, who followed in the Tournai one, and was omitted in the Laetiense. If, however, others prefer to refer this to Philip the Deacon, of whom we have treated above, by us it will be permitted.
