Silvanus, Martyr in Italy (Saint)
Permia, Martyr in Italy (Saint)
Plamfagonus, Martyr in Italy (Saint)

Vibianus, Martyr in Italy (Saint)
The Blumian manuscript codex of Saint Jerome proposes the last class of Martyrs thus: "In Italy, of Filagonia, Victurina, Hienulus, Suranus, Permia. Likewise of Saturus, Saturninus, Revocatus, Plamfagonius, Italia, Petronius, Nigronus, and Acristus." After these are thus recorded, the Luccan Martyrology of Saint Jerome ends this day: "In Italy, of Filatagonia, Victurinus, Lanulus, Silvanus, Permia, Satirus, Saturninus, Revocatus, Plamfagonus, Petronius, Diodorus, Nigorus, and Charistus." In the same Martyrology published at Paris, the names are expressed thus: "In Italy, of Filagonia, Victorinus, Hianulus, Silvanus, Permia. Likewise of Saturus, Saturninus, Revocatus, Planfagonus, Italia, Petronius, Diodorus, Nigorus, and Caristus, Donatus, Vibianus." From these we reject the word "Italia" repeated in the middle. In our most ancient manuscript, with "Italy" omitted at the beginning, the rest is given thus: "Plumfiganus, Victorinus, Ianulus, Silvanus, and Permia. Likewise in Africa, elsewhere, Satirus, Revocatus. Likewise Plamfagonus. Likewise others, Petrinus, Diodorus, Nicoforus, Charistus." Notker has little: "In Italy, in the town of Fagonia, of Victorinus and Silvanus." In the Aachen manuscript there is mention of Mugorus (above Nigorus) and Victorinus. We omit in the heading Saturus, Saturninus, and Revocatus, perhaps companions in the martyrdom of Saints Perpetua and Felicitas, and for this reason we believe the words "In Africa" were interpolated in our manuscript. Concerning these, therefore, we treat them on March 7. If others judge that they should be added to these, we have no objection. Certainly in the most ancient Reichenau manuscript they are read separately, ascribed to Africa.
CONCERNING SAINT EUPHROSYNUS, MARTYR
CommentaryEuphrosynus, Martyr (Saint)
Only two things are related about this Martyr: his name and the manner of his martyrdom. Indeed, thus far we have found in the sacred Fasti only this one Martyr by the name of Euphrosynus, concerning whom the Greeks in the Great Menaea and in Maximus of Cythera's Lives of the Saints commemorate the following: "On the same sixth day, Saint Euphrosynus, having been ordered to drink boiling water, expired." In the Menaea these verses are added:
"Having drunk a boiling draught from a hollow cup, The Martyr Euphrosynus was exceedingly gladdened."
That is: "When the Martyr Euphrosynus had drunk the boiling potion from a concave bowl, he arrived at the greatest delight."
The rest, together with the place and time of his martyrdom, are lacking.
