Concerning this holy Martyr we have read nothing elsewhere, except this brief notice, which the Greek Menaea exhibit: On the same day, the holy Martyr Carion, the tongue of St. Carion was cut out. having had his tongue cut out, ended his life.

You shall be deprived of speech, your tongue mutilated, O Carion: You shall abstain from the vain talk of deceitful tongues.

Another St. Cario appears on the 24th of November; but, so far as can be gathered from the appended distich, he was an anchorite, not a Martyr.
