The small manuscript Martyrology of the monastery of St. Maximin at Trier thus records these Martyrs: Of Victuris, Zoticus, Names of the Martyrs in the Martyrologies Cyriacus, Ammonius, Basilius. We have already treated above of Victor; with whom Zoticus is also placed among the Africans by some. The Reichenau manuscript: And elsewhere, of Amantius, Tulicus, Zoticus, Cyriacus. We shall treat presently of the first two. In the Roman manuscript Martyrology attributed to St. Jerome, after the African Martyrs of whom we have treated, the following is added: And elsewhere, of Zoticus, Cyriacus, Ammonius, Occominius, Peleonicus, Basilius. Others distinct from these are recorded on the following day in the same Martyrology: among whom are Ammon, Zoticus, and Cyriacus. We shall treat presently of Basilius who suffered in Armenia, and Basilianus who suffered in Campania: whether St. Basilius should be joined to these? so that we remain in doubt whether the same Basilius is not twice repeated in the Martyrology of St. Jerome. Yet another Basilius, a monk, is recorded on the twelfth of February in the ancient manuscript Martyrologies: so that for this reason we have judged that only this single one should be placed on this day.
