This class is peculiar to the Hieronymian codices alone, unknown to Ado and Usuard. It has a place in Rabanus and Notker, by whom, however, the names are not rendered entire. The most ancient Epternach mangled Sirmium, writing: At Sirmi; nor much better the Corbie and Lucca ones: At Syrmia, except that in these Arippinus is read, for Agrippinus. In the Hieronymian short codices there is not preserved a sufficiently accurate reckoning of place and names: except, however, the codex of the Queen of Sweden, in which all things are rightly formed: At Sirmium, the birthday of the holy Agrippinus, Secundus, Maximus, Fortunatus, Martialis.
