The memory of these Martyrs announced in the Fasti. Besides the Alexandrian martyrs just given, four other Egyptian Martyrs are announced in the Hieronymian transcripts, which here agree with one another well enough. The text in Florentini expresses them in this manner: In Egypt, the birthday of the holy Taurinus, Nemoratus, Saturninus, Arapollinus. In the Corbie codex the last name is slightly changed: In Egypt, the birthday of SS. Taurinus, Nemoratus, Saturninus, Arapollonus. But two names and the order of the martyrs are somewhat changed in the Antwerp codex, which has thus: In Egypt, of Taurinus, Saturninus, Nemosatus, Aropollinus. Of the Blume codex, collated later with the others, Florentini notes this at pag. 1068: Among the Egyptian Martyrs, Taurinus and Saturninus are omitted in the Blume codex. Perhaps the collector of that codex judged that they should be omitted, because some Taurinus had already been announced at Portus Romanus, and some Saturninus at Alexandria: for from this a suspicion may arise of their being wrongly doubled. Nevertheless the consent of the other codices makes it more probable that these are distinguished from those. In the Reichenau codex two of these four are thus commemorated: In Egypt, of Taurinus, Nemoratus. In other abridged codices of this kind those Egyptians are almost all omitted, save that Taurinus is commemorated in several, but the one of Portus, who besides the Egyptian is also in the Reichenau codex just praised. Among the later martyrologists these Egyptian Martyrs have been omitted, as Florentini has already observed. I find nothing more concerning these Martyrs.
