This is the fourth class of Martyrs of the Hieronymian Martyrology; but rather obscurely proposed in the various copies. From the Lucca manuscript it has been printed thus: At Audia of the Galatians, Quoamal, Arcilati, Potami, and Florentini in his Index names a Martyr of Galatia. From the Corbey manuscript Lucas Acherius printed at Paris thus: At Taudia of Gallicia, of Quoamali, Arcelai, Potami, Donatella. But Florentini from the various readings of Du Fresne accepted the reading: At Taudia of Gaul, of Quoamali, Arcelai, Potamia, Donatella. In the Blume codex is read, At Taudia of Galatia. In the Epternach codex, instead of the arena of martyrdom, the names of the Martyrs were joined to the preceding class in this way: Taidi, Agalatia (for Taudia of Galatia) Quoamalia, Archilai Potami: For Agalatia, it seems, the name Agatha is found in the Augsburg and Paris manuscripts cited above. Florentini adds in his notes that he is more inclined to some place in Galatia, where anciently more frequent contests of the Martyrs occurred, than in Galicia: but with the help of other codices the place must be either emended or explained. In favor of Galicia seems to speak Taudia here named, perhaps the same which in Ptolemy is Τοῦδαι, which to others is Tude: of which city we shall treat at length on this day when we treat of Blessed Peter González.
